I received a handful of pictures that show the
tractor has sat outside for an extended time.
I'd expect the only thing usable off it would be
the motor, transaxle, frame. Or have people
who rescued tractors from fields found the
electronics to be in usable condition?

Here's the reply I got on the ET currently on
ebay:
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the GE
Elec-Trac tractor, This tractor has not been run in many years. The
batteries are cracked and so unusable, however there was a plastic liner
under them that prevented them from damaging the area beneath . The blades
are controlled by motors, the seat is in good condition. There is
some surface rust but does not appear to be rusted through anywhere. There
are no attachments. It has a charger and cord. The tires are inflated
and do hold air. It ran 16 years ago and hasn't been used since. It
was stored in a barn. The tractor is located in Medina, OH which is about
30 miles south of Cleveland. For the purpose of estimating shipping our zip
code is 44256. We have no idea what it would take to get it running again.
I am assuming it would have more value as a restored
collectible.
