RE: (ET) charger problem

Thank you one and all for the suggestions. Found a weird answer.
1) Replaced bad battery as I had a spare.
2) 50 amp circuit breaker is bad! If I hold it in, batteries start charging. 
 Temp. jumped it with a short wire and batteries are charging.
Now, Why does the tractor run alright without the breaker, but will not 
charge without it?
