Steve,

 I do not have a ET in the office to look at (the boss would never let me
drive it into the computing center). The seat plate has two pins that it
hinges on they are kept in place with cotter pins. Are the pins still in
place on your machine?

I don't see how the seat hinge is supposed to work. On a 'new' machine what
stops the seat top from buckling over the back of the tractor?
