Perhaps Don knows something I don't, but I don't think there is any need 
to remove the cables before charging.  (After all, the GE charger 
doesn't.)

I charge my ET's batteries with three 12-volt chargers and leave all the 
ET's cables in place.  No problems in 2 years.
