As to sitting on concrete, that was very true in the days of hard rubber
battery cases, they were actually semiporous and the damp from the
concrete caused some leakage current.  Not true with the present plastic
cases, they don't leak that way.

Now, someone tell me the way to check SG on the sealed 12 volters in my
mower, all they have is the little "eye" to signify charge.
