I didn't notice a better cut, but I did find that
running the mower deck
backwards makes a pretty good lawn sweeper...

Is it because the mower deck is fully
enclosed - no side or back discharge?
It is a 42" front mount mower.
The right side of the deck can be removed,
but I prefer to keep it closed.
This is no big deal, but I was just wondering
if anyone ever noticed
this.
