as i mentioned to steve in private email, i think this is a good deal.  i 
recently bought 1 new mowerdeck motor  for 139.  and its usually the decks 
themselves that are the hardest to find because they rust more than most 
other et parts.  
    a guy near me sells bare decks for 250 and rebuilt mower motors for 
125 
each.  and he recently sold an e12 with old batteries for 600, with no 
deck.  
    prices are all over the place if you're not in a hurry, and sometimes 
some great deals occur.  but for a great running tractor with near new 
batteries and working deck, i'd grab it quick.  in fact, if its near new 
york, and steve doesn't buy it, i know 2 people that are looking.  good
