Successfully reassembled Peerless 10D-1216 transmission with new snap
ring on differential, bushing on one axle, oil seal and gasket.   Also
replaced all four 1/4-20 bolts that hold the differential together with
new grade 8 bolts.   Found only two of the four bolts were grade 8 upon
disassembly;  another reason why the assembly did not hold.   The bushing
had completely worn out and allowed the axle to move up & down causing
the snap ring and oil seal to also break.
Flipped over the dual motor mower deck while detached from tractor,
cleaned off old green deposits, and primed.   To put finish yellow coat
on mower deck and entire tractor after reinstalling the transmission with
a new brake assembly and cut the weeds before the first snow fall.
