Re: (ET) E15 at the NEDRA Woodburn Drags

KEWL!

I still think it's really funny that the place is called "Woodburn."

Subject: (ET) E15 at the NEDRA Woodburn Drags

Took the E15 Elec-Trak to the EV drags in Woodburn, OR yesterday. It was unexpectedly called into service when John Waylands "White Zombie" blew a battery.  The E15 towed the Zombie back to the pit area. John replaced the blown battery, but the replacement had a higher voltage than the rest of the batteries and whistled when he tried to quick charge the battery pack. The E15 mower and roto-tiller motors were used to partially discharge the new battery. This took about 30 minutes since the current drain was only about 25 amps at 12 volts. After the new battery was "equalized", John was able to dump charge the battery pack and try another run.
