RE: (ET) Schematics (was "new" E-20.)



IF Bill was able to scan D sizes onto a CD, you might be surprised at the 
result.  I read TIFF's 
scanned from D sizes all the time here at work.... a typical D sized 
scanned TIFF is 16 Mb!  
This is just for simple line drawings.  Sure, Ford over did the resolution 
a bit, but to read details, 
you need most of that.  A JPG would be much better.  Some of the better 
'paint' programs (Paint 
Shop Pro 6) have no problem with that file size, but even a 300 MHz 
Pentium II with 64 Meg and 
a Matrox card may seem terribly slow to manipulate the drawings.  Luckily, 
most SCHEMATICS 
are on either A or B size... much more manageable.

In the past Bill has copied full size prints for me (D size). Which make
things a lot easier than using the manual which can be hard to see. The 
ones
in the manual are just sized down copies of the original and as I found out
are not exactly specific for all the model changes.John
