The purpose of this message is to explain about the mirror archive.
The mirror archive is available on the web at
http://www.egroups.com/list/elec-trak/.
It's purpose is simply to provide a backup, or mirror, of the messages that
appear on the regular elec-trak email list. However, the archived messages
are
viewable via the web, in a nice user interface, as compared to the often
more
difficult to use format of a list server. A number of services are
provided,
including various ways of viewing the articles, and searching the content.
Some of the services, such as polling and calendar, won't have any
content, at
least for the time being. Check out the 'folders' section, though.
Just to be clear, you don't need to join anything, or even do anything. If
you
want to look at past messages, and avoid storing any of them on your own
computer, you can still find them via the eGroup website. The eGroup
archive
is just another subscriber to the regular elec-trak mailing list.
Keep using the elec-trak cosmos5 phy tufts edu list as you have in the
past.
