Good question. I thought someone may ask this, as the pictures of the control panel on the bench show metal screws holding the bar to the panel. These were temporary while I was waiting for plastic screws to come in the mail. The bar is held off the panel by plastic spacers and fastened to the panel with plastic screws. My design retains the isolated chassis of the original.
