I restored this the first time around about 10 years ago (stripped most of it apart and stripped all the paint off, repainted, replaced all bolts and screws with stainless steel ones, etc.). Last summer I did a partial restore, rebuilding the three mower deck motors (and adding the lower rings underneath the deck to greatly reduce vibration), and repainting (but without stripping this time). I'm in the seacoast New Hampshire area. The tractor works nicely. The only issue is that there may be an overly sensitive thermistor, as after mowing for a while (doing most of my yard) if the battery voltage drops too low, it keeps you from going into higher speeds.
