Boston Bellringers treasurer's report calendar year 2024
We had a lot of money. We still have a lot of money, but less. Email me
privately for exact numbers. There is petty cash money in each tower.
Some of the guild's money is in our checking account equivalent. The bulk
is in a CD.
We spent (rounded):
$30 masks
$75 holiday cards (Christmas 2023)
$51 stamps
$128 several sets of donations to the RW/BB for performances
$206 subscription to the paper RW
$180 payment disbursed to ringers at the ON renewal of vows
(treated as a wedding)
$1195 Taylor bellhanger visit to Old North
$339 The NAGCR for combined dues
We received $70 donations to the ON cashbox (I only note it down when I
see someone put money into the box. I haven't seen anybody donate at the
Advent. This might therefore be an underestimate).
$300 renewal of vows at ON (treated as wedding ringing)
$157 NAGCR dues copayment
$238 interest on the CD
There were 26 performances (quarters, peals, eighths) on tower and hand
combined, if I counted correctly. We as a guild added the donations for
most of those, although there might have been a few left out. The system
is to let me know when something is submitted, and I'll add the donation
to the site. Keep up the good work!
It was nice to have a professional bellhanger in the towers, but sheesh it
was expensive. Greg negotiated with the Advent to pay their share. We
didn't do that with Old North, so the guild paid.
I think that the push to get people to join or renew the NAGCR at the same
time was successful.
Interest on the CD was higher last year than it is likely to be for the
near future, I suspect.
Thanks to Danielle for being the co-signer on the account, to Ed for
doing the tax form, and to Emily for spreadsheet assistance.
