Rope on the three

I've hauled a rope out of the rope chest (one of the one's Greg so kindly
spliced in the spring; think it used to be on the 5).
Lost my nerve about going aloft and swapping it though (one should never be
by one's self in bell chamber).  Also, I'm pretty sure the 3 is the one
with the awkwardly placed splice, and it may have to be cut to get through
the garter hole ??!?).  So my plan is to turn up early tomorrow with a rope
knife.

(This is where you tell me you had early handling lessons in mind...)
