Re: brass polishing at old North
This is what was circulated about polishers coming to practice (if they
want to)
>> and a nice invitation from our bell ringers:
The bellringers practice almost every Saturday from 11:15 until 1:15. We’d
like to invite the brass polishers up to visit us after polishing brass in
the Parish House. Find out how change ringing works and see us in action.
We’d love to have you! The tower door is on the left as one is about to
enter the sanctuary. Come right upstairs ... and if the door is locked,
just check with an educator.<<

Subject: brass polishing at old North
Hi all,
Old North have asked me to remind everyone that this Saturday is Brass
Polishing day, and that all are welcome
Priscilla's message below.
Thanks all!
Dale
Hi, Dale! You and the Old North Bellringers are invited to come Saturday
morning to our annual brass polishing mimosa party ... if anyone feels like
polishing a bit of brass and enjoying a bit of bubbly! As you may know,
each year, the brass chandeliers and sconces in the church are taken down,
disassembled, boiled to remove wax and then polished by a small army of
volunteers -- happy to sit, visit, imbibe and shine up that brass. This is
a drop-in affair -- anytime between 10am and whenever the last bit is
bright and beautiful. Please let your crew know that they are welcome to
join in the fun -- in the Parish House this Saturday ... 10am until 11:30
or so.
