Re: belfry maintenance schedule

Thanks Laura, this looks like a very useful starting place for us.
We should be more than able to reimburse you for the expense of the book: it looks like a worthwhile investment for the tower.
(Or you can reimburse yourself? Not sure if the transfer has happened yet. Which reminds me I need to edit some minutes and send them out... sorry for the delay!)

At the Advent guild meeting, I offered to put together a schedule of how frequently to maintain what.  I am still planning to go through old issues of the RW to compile a set of the "have you done this lately?' columns, but I'm a pretty lazy person and it seemed easiest to just buy a copy of the Central Council manual and use their schedule.  The book wasn't expensive, and has cool photos, instructions, trouble-shooting guides, etc.  Attached (I hope) is a scan of the schedule they suggest.  Some of it is not relevant to us, as we don't have to deal with clocks or chiming hammers or plain bearings, but a lot of it looks helpful.  After the schedule was scanned, I realized that it would *not* be useful if I put the book on my shelf of ringing books at home, so it is on the shelf under the bench in the Advent anteroom, on the end closest to the ringing room.

It looks like this
