This is something I could potentially do (parallels between squares and change ringing are neat!), but would need some sort of vague direction, word count limit, and deadline.
The RW has started publishing occasional articles about the non-ringing hobbies of ringers. I wrote to the editor, proposing such an article about
the ringers/square dancers overlap in the Boston area, and he agreed that it would be a good topic. Would someone like to write it? We thought of Rachel. I could do it with a lot of help. When are we likely to have enough people at a practice (or service ringing) for a photograph of a square in a ringing room? We'd need an additional person to stand on a ladder and look down on the group, I think. There were six of us at ON practice on Saturday who have taken the Tech Squares class, but that put us two dancers and one photographer short. Suggestions for a date for a photo op?
