I shifted nearly all the ropes up at wheel about 4 inches.
Prepare to be short.
I've put the brand-new rope intended for the 7 on the tenor.'
I guesstimated the tucks, but it probably wants violent
adjustment.
[Plan is to dig out a usable tail end and splice it to the old (?!)
rope, after documenting the unexpectedly early wear.]
Please do put the little rug under it...
I retucked the 3, which had a bad spot (taped), so maybe that's
less short.
