I sorry to report that Harry Carter died in his sleep on Saturday morning. Harry was a former MIT Guild ringing master & tower captain. He was a dear friend, and the husband of another dear friend, ringer Betsy Hosler.

The funeral will be in Virginia, but there are visiting hours Tuesday afternoon. There is an obituary here, along with details for the wake:

Harry was just diagnosed with cancer last week, and I had been out to talk with him on Tuesday. We were all expecting a long fight.
