2009 Pittsburgh ringing course

We expect to be holding our now annual ringing course in Pittsburgh
again in 2009, on one of the weekends in August. Specifically which
weekend will be determined based on the schedule of other events at
the church, the availability of suitable helpers, and the convenience
of prospective students.

The course will be aimed at students wishing to improve their ringing
on eight bells, emphasizing Plain Bob Triples, Grandsire Triples and
Plain Bob Major. Prerequisites for students in the course are

    * Comfortable ringing Plain Bob Doubles or Minor, or Grandsire
      Doubles.

    * Comfortable hunting on seven and/or eight.

    * Have rung at least two tower bell quarters (on any number of
bells), including at least one inside.

Attendance will be limited to eight students. We expect to announce a
definite date and definite roster of eight students no later than the
end of March. For best consideration for one of the available student
slots please be sure to let us know of your interest no later than the
end of February.
