special climate change awareness ringing
The vicar asks that we support Bishop Bud's call to have 350 New
England churches ring 350 times each during the last week of November.
The number is because "350 parts per million (ppm) is the amount of
carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that our planet can sustain without
causing cataclysmic and irreversible damage to life as we know it. " See:

My inclination is to do our bit during regular Saturday practice on
the 29th or service ringing on the 30th. I have done nothing about
organizing a peal attempt for Christ the King Sunday, but that's the
24th, so I've picked the other two days just in case. Would someone
please send me a suitable composition for a true touch that's 350
changes long? A regular Saturday practice band could probably manage
PB, Grandsire Doubles, or something similar to that. With some planning
we might get eight people, so something simple for that many people
would be good as well. If 350 is too strange a number of changes,
something close but less than that would be fine, and we'll carefully
count the number of rounds beforehand so that it totals 350.
Thanks.
