Re: Bell Names

How about naming it the Peace Bell?

Everytime it rings the intention would be to vibrate the sound of peace throughout the world.

Dear Mr. Morse,

Hello I am the Rev'd G. Travis Norvell of the Lime Rock Baptist
Church in Lincoln, RI. I found your contact information on the MIT
Guild of Bellringers. I am writing you, seeing that you are the
Steeple Keeper of the Old North Church, to see if you could possibly
direct me to possible resources on the naming of church bells. This
Fall the Lime Rock Church is having an official dedication of our
outdoor chapel. Years ago a bell was bought from a Pawtucket Fire
Department, before demolition of the old department. Finally the
bell now has a handsome stone and wooden home in our outdoor
chapel. As part of our festivities we are naming the bell.

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Peace

Rev. Norvell
