Hey all,
I've been meaning to do some work on the hatches before it gets too hot, and that time is rapidly approaching.
Would anyone be able to assist or just keep me company (and provide a safety monitor), on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon? I'm not available this Saturday, but I'm getting my calendar organized for other dates.
If you want to help, it is a somewhat dirty job, and a mask is advisable. If you just want to be my safety monitor and sit downstairs, then you could read a book or play video games. 😁
The four pending tasks are:
1. Cleaning brick dust and debri and removing it from the tower (lowering bags of debri on ropes).
2. Fixing damaged hinges
3. Install two hatch lifters
4. Install low voltage wiring
I'm guessing the whole job will take 2 to 4 sessions of a couple hours each.
I also need to get a small switch box made up, but this can be done anytime - the lifters just won't be operational until that is finished.
Any kind of help or company would be appreciated. One or two helpers at a time is probably optimal, though the cleaning part of it could potentially make use of 3 helpers if there is that much enthusiasm.
There has also been talk of a tower cleanup day, which I will plan to piggyback on whenever that happens.
Cheers,
Greg
