We (NEB have a quick test that uses LAMP technology and have released a kit, for research use only, that works quite well. However it is not 100%, nor is anything else, and as you say it is a snapshot in time. That we have the technology and the enzymes yet we are not testing at NEB indicates there are flaws in all the test kits out there. I would be hesitant to rely on any testing to make decisions on who should ring and who should not.

At work, we are all wearing masks when around each other, washing hands frequently, avoiding close contact as much as possible and have cleaning crews cleaning equipment and surface’s throughout the day. We have reduced staffing by almost 75% and rotating shifts. So far so good. It probably helps our sites are in Ipswich and Rowley and not downtown.

I don't really have anything to add, and the DC ringers list I think is

The long story short is it will all come down to risk tolerance. Good

mitigation procedures during practice will significantly reduce the

possibility of transmission (others may have a better grip of the actual

probabilities than me), and good practices in daily life will minimize the

possibility someone will bring it to the tower at all. However, the risk

of transmission will be low, but never zero.

I'm hoping things will slow down a bit and I'll be able to make it to

online practices again, but it might be a few more weeks (obviously, all my

plans to come visit in person were smashed long ago). I hope you all

continue to stay safe and healthy.
