Harvard University Title: "Review of the proton radius puzzle: is it about the proton or muon ?"
Maxim Pospelov
(Perimeter/Victoria) Abstract:
Recent measurements of the Lamb shift in muonic hydrogen (and deuterium)
when interpreted in terms of the proton charge radius reveal a puzzling ~7 sigma
discrepancy compared to r_p determination in other systems. I discuss this problem
from several angles, and focus on theoretical speculations about possible new "medium-range" forces
that skew the interpretations of the muH Lamb shift measurements.
