Harvard University Harvard/MIT Joint Theory Seminar "Closed strings and non-commutative/non-associative geometry"
Dieter Luest
(MPI Munich and LMU Munich) Jefferson Lab, 453 Refreshments in the high energy theory coffee area, 4th floor Jefferson, at 4:00. Abstract:
"In this talk I discuss that non-commutative
and non-associative geometry emerges for closed strings moving in non-geometric backgrounds. The origin of closed string non commutativity (non-associativity) is due to new closed string boundary conditions in the presence of non-geometric background fields.
We will also discuss some aspects of closed string CFT in non-geometric target spaces."
