Re: Volunteer needed to automate the Boston area physics calendar

Thanks, Ken! Happy to chat with you all more about this.

I wanted to clarify with John--I understand you are not able to use Google
docs, etc. But would you be allowed to just view a Google calendar? I
think we could set something up with Google where people could submit and
receive information without needing a Google account.

However, I see in the thread that others have set something similar up
before not using Google, so if that is easy to replicate, maybe that is
the way to go.

Hi, Marisa, Ben, Dana, and John. Thanks for volunteering to help and
making comments about the future of the bapc. As threatened before, I
made
a mailing list bapc-future cosmos phy tufts edu to coordinate and
discuss this project. I will add all of you to this list. If you
don't
want to be on it it, tell me or unsubscribe yourself by mailing to
bapc-future-unsubscribe cosmos phy tufts edu or going to
    https://cosmos.phy.tufts.edu/mailman/listinfo/bapc-future.

I put all your messages in the archives of this mailing list, which you
can find at https://cosmos.phy.tufts.edu/mhonarc/bapc-future/ . You
might want to read each other's messages. Marisa, Ben, and Dana, maybe
you can discuss which one or which subset of you would be best to set
    this up.

John, thanks for your comments, in particular about not being able to
access Google Docs from Lincoln Labs. This poses an interesting
challenge, which we should discuss. I take it if we obtained some
calendar software and ran it here at cosmos, for example, that would be
OK, but if we use Google Calendar that would not work for you.

I will send a message to bapc-future with my thoughts about the design
    of the future system.
