Massive and Partially Massless Gravity?

Andrew Waldron
Davis

Abstract:

We discuss various promising yet ultimately flawed attempts to construct self-interacting, massive and partially massless (p.m.) theories. These are based on either conformal gravity or distinguished ``f-g''-type models. Consistency is obstructed by a failure of p.m. gauge invariance or a related causality violation.
