This takes about 30 mins including the walk back from the lot.
Take Mass Ave past Harvard and Porter Squares. Turn right at the first lights after the Porter Square T and the Star Market, onto Beech Street. About 50 yards along Beech, you come to a junction with Elm Street. Keep to the right. Go across Elm, slightly to the right, and carry on straight along Willow Ave. Continue along Willow Ave for about 1 mile until you reach Broadway at a light that is basically a T-junction (the 3rd proper traffic light). Turn left onto Broadway and after about 200 yards this will take you to Powderhouse Sq, a large rotary. Take College Ave, the 2nd exit. You should have the Tufts stadium and playing fields on your left. Go over the hill (this is where the physics department is - a brown brick buliding that is the first building on the right after a long row of houses), and turn left at the intersection onto Boston Ave. There will be a parking garage on your left. After you park you will need to find a machine that will sell you a token for $5 to get out again. Walk back along Boston Ave. the way you came, turn right on College Ave, and Robinson Hall will be across the street on your left. Go in through the last door on the left, up some steps. On your right is a list of room numbers for the physics department.

From Davis walk along College Avenue, slightly up hill, until you come to Powderhouse Sq, a large rotary. Keep walking along College (the Tufts stadium and playing fields will be on your left) up the hill. The physics dept is in the first brick building on the right, at the brow of the hill. Go in through the first door on your right, up some steps. On your right is a list of room numbers for the physics department.
Turn left after you exit the turnstile, go up the stairs and catch the bus in the busway. Take the bus to the first Tufts stop (ask the driver). This is on College Ave, a bit before the brow of the hill where the memorial steps are. It is about 200 yards after Powderhouse Sq, a large rotary itself about 600 yards after the Davis T station. Now walk up the hill. The physics dept is in the first brick building on the right, at the brow of the hill. Go in through the first door on your right, up some steps. On your right is a list of room numbers for the physics department. Alex Vilenkin is on the third floor. Everyone else is on the first floor.
From Harvard square you can also get the 96 bus inside the station.
