Boston Area Physics Calendar
The Boston Area Physics Calendar is sent out each Wednesday from
September through May by e-mail. There are no longer fax or physical
mail subscriptions. Each Wednesday calendar contains listings for the
week beginning the following Monday. To be included in the calendar,
listings must be received by 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
To send announcements for inclusion in the calendar, send them by
e-mail to email@example.com.
Please try to get your listing in on time, but if you have
missed the deadline, or if you have a last-minute correction or
cancellation, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your notice will go out directly to all the subscribers.
Please note the following:
There is an archive of
previous calendars, notices, and other postings. Or click here for
archives before Fall 2003.
- To use the late-notices address, you must have subscribed to the
e-mail list. See below for directions. This feature prevents spam.
- Do not send on-time notices to the late notices address.
- Never send the same announcement to both the on-time and late
- Do not send reminders to the late address; only send late notices
- When you send to the late notices address, you're sending e-mail
directly to hundreds of people, primarily individual physicists.
Please be concise. Please send your message in plain text. Please
don't send attached files.
- When you send a correction, please indicate what the change is.
Receiving the calendar To subscribe to the e-mail list, or to
stop getting messages, click here for
the web interface or send a message to email@example.com
to subscribe or firstname.lastname@example.org
to unsubscribe. (If you use the web interface, you may get a warning
message about unknown certificate authority; you should just go ahead
and continue. For details click here.)
If you subscribe to the bapc list, please do not use a vacation
auto-reply program unless you configure it to respond only to messages
sent to you, not those sent to mailing lists that you are on.
Otherwise I get a notice every time something is sent to the list when
you are on vacation. Email
me for advice on how to configure such programs.
